2. About Cittaslow
From and Australian point of view, Cittaslow is a strange name and is not easily understood. The pronouciation is a challenge to start with and its meaning is confusing, unless you have some idea of its roots and its meaning, naturally.
Citta in Italian means city and the 'slow' part comes from its connection to the Slow Food movemnt from which is developed, so, for it to have real acceptance and clarity it probably will become known as Slow City, in time.
